The AQA philosophy A level assessment is sat at the end of the course and consists of two 3 hour examinations: Paper 1 will have 5 questions on epistemology and 5 questions on moral philosophy; Paper 2 will have 5 questions on the metaphysics of God and 5 questions on metaphysics of mind; Each paper is worth 50% of the overall grade.

A level philosophy looks at 4 arguments relating to the existence of God. These are: The ontological argument; The teleological argument; The cosmological argument; The problem of evil; There are various versions of each argument as well as numerous responses to each. The key points of each argument are summarised below.
